Harmonica legend Musselwhite has 2 North Bay shows

Published Tuesday February 14

Charles Musselwhite doesn’t always get mentioned with the other Bay Area-based rock and blues living legends — including Elvin Bishop

Carlos Santana and Stephen Miller — but he deserves it.

The harmonica player has jammed with everybody from Mike Bloomfield Bo Diddley and

Bonnie Raitt to Tom Waits and Cyndi Lauper, in addition to releasing thirty albums with his own bands (including the Grammy-winning blues album “Get Up!” with Benjamin Harper in 2013).

Charley Musselwhite: 7:30 in the afternoon Fri Feb. 17. $35-$75. Raven Theater, 115 North St. Petersburg, Russia, Healdsburg. www.raventheater.org ; eight in the afternoon Sat Feb. 18. $27-$32. Sweetwater Music Hall, nineteen Corte Madera Ave., Mill Valley.

Article length: About 170 words.
